About Us

Many moons ago Ethan H. Smith started designing and building inflatables in the same overseas factories that many other brands currently use. While the products were successful and well received in the marketplace, he found the whole process lacking in many ways. So he set out to build the best inflatable manufacturing facility in the US in the heart of the recreational wonderland of Montrose, Colorado. He and his team can help you bring your inflatable project to life with his years of personal experience and expertise in product design and production and an eye towards competitive and efficient costs.

Ryan Powers

Ryan comes to us with a boat load of experience in fabric welding and production in the outdoors space. When he’s not working on how to plot out the most efficient usage of our inflatable patterns on on our CAD cutter he can be found training for ultra-marathons, hiking, paddle boarding, fishing and woodworking. To date he has competed in two half marathons, seven full marathons, a 50k race, two Ironman 70.3s triathlons, one full Ironman and is currently training for a both 50 and 100 mile races.

Blaine Romero

Blaine Romero is a super cool guy, his bio goes here. Blaine has his Avalanche Cert, has driven Snow Cats at Cimarron Mountain Club, worked with Ouray Mountain Sports and caught some really nice brown trout during the epic Salmon fly hatch on that river nearby that you probably know the name of but we won’t mention specifically here.

Dylan Fadgen

As the owner of Sandy Seed Farm in Montrose Dylan stays pretty busy in the warm months planting his amazing variety of vegetables and selling them both commercially and every Saturday in person at the Farmer’s Market. When he’s not doting on his veggies he finds time to bring his full send mode in to SFD HQ to help us cut weld and assemble rafts and inflatable. He’s also climbed El Cap twice, the Nose and the Shield.
